Earlier this week I filmed a promotional video for Brave New Talent, an exciting new social recruitment network.

Me showing the lovely Janna Bastow, Brave New Talent's Head of Product, how to use her own software...

Brave New Talent is the brainchild of Lucian Tarnowski and aims to leverage social networking and online community principles to create a dynamic talent management platform. Its networks are largely built around its members skills and professions, potentially providing a rich pickings for smart recruiters.

It’s a neat idea and something that the likes of LinkedIn has (for me) never quite nailed. In particular, the vibe I picked up from spending a day with the team there was to create something altogether less ‘stuffy’ and driven by the talent who use it.

Produced by Ted Byron Baybutt of Chasing the Bear this was filmed (alongside a couple of other promo videos) over one day in and around Brave New Talent’s offices by the Silicon Roundabout at Old Street in London. A highlight of the day was sitting in the Shoreditch Grind pretending to show Janna Bastow (Brave New Talent’s Product Manager) how to use her own software for one of the promo shots.

Do look up Brave New Talent and, if you’re curious, why not create a profile?
